Gordon Sheard & Sinal Aberto CD release party ( June 4th )
June 4th at Lula Lounge
On June 4, we’ll be releasing our long-awaited debut CD, A New Day at the Lula Lounge. We’ll be playing the music from the album, which consists of original songs in the MPB (Music Popular Brasileira) tradition by Luanda Jones and Gord Sheard, as well as a couple of A. C. Jobim classics that we’ve sinalabertoized.

Sinal Aberto is: Luanda Jones – vocals; George Koller– bass; Mark Kelso– drums; and Gord Sheardon piano; we’re very happy to have Ed Hanley (tabla – Autorickshaw) and Edwin Sheard (alto sax – Wire Circus, Dwayne Gretzky) joining us on the tunes they played on on the album. ( By Gord Sheard)
