vividly demonstrating his devotion to the country’s vibrant music, its rich history, and the exceptional artists so integral to its essence.
For his TD Toronto Jazz Festival performances at Quotes Bar & Grill (June 25 & 29, July 2 – 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.) Sheard will field a collective of some of today’s most talented exponents of Brazilian jazz featuring Gord Sheard on piano, bassists Roberto Occhipinti and George Koller, percussionist Maninho Costa, and Mark Kelso on drums, and three headlining guest stars: celebrated Brazilian singer/songwriter Luanda Jones, award-winning guitar luminary Reg Schwager, and internationally-acclaimed flute and Latin jazz specialist Bill Mcbirnie.
